BINFIELD FC
TELLING THE STORY OF A CLUB WITH HEART
Binfield Football Club is a grass roots, family-run club based in a quiet corner of rural Berkshire. Over the last few years, they’ve gone on an incredible journey, earning a promotion and even reaching a cup final at Wembley. But while things on the pitch have progressed, the club knew it was time to grow off it too.

They wanted to raise their profile and attract more people from the local community. With so many options pulling at people’s time and money, and plenty of bigger clubs nearby, it was important to ask: Why Binfield?

When we sat down to talk it through, we found the answer in three simple things:
-
You’re close to the action. At this level, you’re right by the pitch. You see it, feel it, hear it.
-
The setting. Binfield is surrounded by countryside. It’s genuinely beautiful.
-
The story. The club is run by volunteers. The players are young, hungry, and playing with real passion.

We decided to focus on those three ideas and tell the story through one of the biggest matches in the club’s history, an FA Trophy game at home against a side two leagues above. There was a lot riding on it, not least the chance to progress and earn vital prize money.
We filmed everything. Dressing room access, team talks, manager cam on the touchline, and plenty of moments you don’t normally see. We also shot drone footage of the ground and the surrounding area, giving you a real sense of how beautiful the location really is. Then we brought it all together with a voiceover from the club’s Chairman, Andy, someone who lives and breathes Binfield FC.

Not every shot came from a top-end camera. Some were captured with GoPro’s, some even on an iPhone. But that was the point. This wasn’t about making something slick and staged. It was about capturing the real moments of a club that means everything to the people who support it.
